In her own words:
"I am a self taught artist and have created artwork since I was
a child. My diverse artistic background has allowed me to use a
simple digital paint program. I draw freehand with only the
mouse, and create my color choices by selecting from the limited
color palette on the computer program.. "
Simplicity
"is the result of my images which tells my story in a direct
imprint visually, and usually emotionally with the viewer. My
paintings are created from using a mouse with my non-dominant
right hand, without a template. My images flow from emotions
that evolved into my visual creative intention, and from the
difficult challenge of using the mouse as my art tool, and
likewise my colors. I prefer this method of creating, without
complicating my images with special effects from a digital
program. This keeps my work pure and true to my visual message
that I am relaying.
I
have encountered unexpected and daunting personal life
challenges, including Clinical Depression and recent Breast
Cancer. My challenges inspired me to enter a journey of
"Cathartic Release" expressed through my art. I gave myself
permission to face my repressed core feelings by discovering a
method of using my non - dominant hand that forced me to
translate my feelings into a simplified visual form. The result
has a dynamic impact that could not [have] been executed by
using my dominant hand.
I
am a "VISUAL POET", who communicates through my
"AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL SELF PORTRAITS that are SYMBOLIC METAPHORS".
My purpose and intention is to be "FEARLESS IN MY FEAR', and as
a result share my raw truth that hopefully will encourage others
to meet themselves in the "Daylight of Their Own Reflections",
and find relief in their repressed fears."
